New journal entry up.

Well, actually I didn’t miss the season premier of Angel. Because I don’t get WB and have to watch it on the Space Network it wasn’t on ’till Thursday or so.

I don’t get UPN either. Buffy is on YTV so I can watch the new one, but I won’t get to see it ’till Saturday. If I wanted to fork out the money for digital cable I could get it on another station which would show it at 5:00 on Tuesday; three whole hours before any one in the U.S. gets to see it. It is taking a great deal of will power to keep me from calling the cable company.

Aaauuuggh. On no. I missed the season premier of Angel! I didn’t realize it was today.. and I actually could have watched it since our cable got turned on today.

Wel now my internet connection is super fast but my poor computer is still as slow as mollases. Must get more memory.

Another journal I need to add to the list of journals I read whenever I get around to updating that page: Are We tehre Yet.

I’m back. With a cable modem. Wow this is fast. I am going to write a journal entry later tonight, but right now I am to busy being amazed at how fast this is.

Oops. Don’t expect to hear anything from me ’till Monday. Our ISP gives us 100 hours a month and we are above 99 hours now. We would be stuck until the fourth or so but a while ago we signed up for a free month trial of cable service and the installation guy is coming on Monday.

Who are those people? Who are the little stinkers who yell idiotic untruths at anyone who looks even a little bit middle eastern? I guess I’ve always known there were people out there like that.. but it is still just so unbelievable. I think of all of the people I know and I can’t imagine any of them behaving in such a fashion. So where do those people come from?

I’ve had greymatter really working for a whole day now… already I love it. Love it! So much easier than posting to the normal journal. I will, however, still be keeping Statue up. At least as much as I have in the past.

Of course, I still have to format the archive pages and such for here. And get it to look good in netscape.. ick..

All three cats are wrestling in the hallway outside the office. They are so cute.

Yes, three cats. And no, I have not brought Raymond up from my parent’s place in Portland yet. Three cats here. I’ve been meaning to mention it in my journal for a week or so now but haven’t gotten around to it yet. There are now three grey kitties (two of them are grey and white, the other all grey with beige tings) living in this apartment. Kitties all over the place! It’s wonderfull.

Freespeech.org is discontinuing its free hosting. What a pain. Most of my archives are still on freespeech because they added code for pop-ups to them and I have yet to get around to downloading them, removing the code (I think I can do an extended search and replace to get it, doing it by hand on a couple of hundred pages would be unthinkable), and uploading them again. Now I’ve got to get that done before October 6th.. not a lot of notice for people who will need to put up pages saying where they have gone.

On second thought, I don’t eat cotton but do wear it. But I’m sure you see my point about Birkenstocks and vegetarianism anyway. I’m maybe just a touch confused tonight. Those darn immigration forms seem to be damaging my thinking.

I’ve never understood exactly why vegetarianism is associated with Birkenstocks. I suppose because they are both hippie things. But don’t people realize that Birkenstocks are leather? As in skin of dead animals? If I don’t eat it why would I wear it?

Yum. Yummy yum. Myles just ran to the store and brought home Strawberry Ice Cream (yes, it deserves to be treated as a proper noun) for me as a surprise. My taste buds feel loved.

I’ve heard of The Mombat Situation before but never wandered over to take a look. Now I have and I think that I will keep on looking. Not only does she have a baby (I want a baby… we can’t afford to have one yet, so I must live vicariously through others who have babies), but she is a vegan as well. So much of interest to me.

And the guilt worsens. Just a couple of posts ago I was being all happy because I thought I had the date of the premier of West Wing wrong which meant I would get to watch it. Now I find out that I had it correct but NBC pushed back the premier a week because of the horror.

I’ve never heard this song, but the lyrics are beautiful. Crosby Stills and Nash wrote it after the Oklahoma bombing but sang it and “My Country Tis of Thee” for New York on the Tonight show the other night. I wish I could have listened.

Whoo, I just tried to look up what time West Wing is on tonight and found out the season premier is next week instead of this week. This is a good thing. Our cable doesn’t get hooked up ’till Monday and here in the great north NBC is a cable channel not broadcast so we were planning on going to the University tonight to watch West Wing. We were not exactly sure that our plan would work if there were others watching a different station or something, so we had resigned ourselves to missing it. Now we will be able to watch it in the comfort of our own home!

Guilt rears it’s ugly head again. I’ve been so upset for the past couple of days over the thought that I would miss the West Wing and it just seems wrong to be upset over such a petty little thing when such a huge terrible thing occured just a week ago.

I had absolutely no idea that Elton John is gay. Of course it doesn’t matter in the least whether he is gay or straight, it just seems weird that I didn’t know. They make such a big deal about Ellen and Anne Heche and what’s her name who sang “I want to come over” and “Come to my window” being gay, and Elton John appears in news articles much more frequently than they do.

Found an interesting site a guy wrote with information about his visits to Antartica. I want to learn how to do the page transitions that he uses.
