Yay! There’s finally a release date for book five. The Order of Pheonix will be released on June 21.

I haven’t abandoned this blog yet.. well not completely.

Just still feeling like crap. I’ve been spending most of my days on the couch and wandering up to the computer room to update just seems like too much effort.

I’ve watched pretty much all of first and second season Buffy in the last few days. That’s a lot of Buffy in a short period of time. Wish I had the season three DVD.

Buffy fans will enjoy this. The First now has a journal.

Ooh.. it’s been over a week since I posted, and so when I posted that last bit all the old entries disappeared. A bit sad, that.

Also with the last post, the top of this blog seems to be messed up with the top of the border appearing twice. Will sort that out later.

I’m back. I have been back since Thursday night (a day later than planned), but I’ve been sick or something and had absolutely no energy and just not felt up to posting. Yes, yes, I know.. tapping a few keys takes soooo much energy, but I’m strange when I don’t feel well.

I keep leaving my camera sitting on my desk and coming back to find it lying on the floor. I think the cats like playing with the strap and knock it off that way or something. Naughty meowers. They better not break my new camera, or there will be shaving of cats all around. Of course if they did it would be entirely my fault as I know they are prone to doing this and really should put it in a drawer or something.

It snowed yesterday/last night. It’s a real winter wonderland out there now.

We’re heading out today to visit M’s parents briefly. We should be back Wednesday night. I won’t be updating here or able to get to my email until then.

There’s a lot of stuff going on here that I’ve been meaning to write about for a month or so now. It’s good stuff. Full story when I get back.

There are many things worse but few so annoying as having popcorn stuff stuck between your teeth and not being able to find the dental floss.

Lesson learned: don’t assume that glass picture frames will be okay in a suitcase simply because the suitcase is so full that nothing can really move around. Make sure they are carefully wrapped.

Broken glass now mingles with all my junk in there, and my favorite picture frame is ruined.

Silly cat. No sooner is a bag/suitcase open in this household than there will be a cat in it. Lacey was actually the second to invade the suitcase this time, but I didn’t have the camera handy when Juliet was in it.

So New Year’s Eve passed without much note here in Hades.

My New Year’s Eves seem to be getting less and less exciting as the years pass by. Last year we stayed in and drank vodka (me) and Corona (M), watched the countdowns and fireworks on TV, and played Scrabble. This year we surpassed ourselves in the exicitement department by playing with the cats and going to bed before midnight.

Are we getting old?

Hey - we have an excuse. We just flew in last night and had to unpack and it was all rather draining.

Arrgghh.. that really isn’t much of an excuse. Oh well. Maybe next year there will be an actual party.

I made a new skin for winter. If you haven’t set a different skin, you should be seeing it now. If you’re still looking at the fall skin or one of the other skins, you can change to the new one by going here. I haven’t added it to the skins page yet.

I made all the graphics for this skin. I’m quite proud of my snowman. I meant to have this skin done in time to post by the first day of winter, but it wasn’t quite finished before I left for Portland, and though I took the nearly complete skin files with me, I was to annoyed with the computer down there to use it long enough to finish.
