maybe tomorrow
oops.. they can see in…

My computer is placed so that when I sit at it I am also looking out one of the back windows of my townhouse. Although I wasn’t spending any time on the computer when I first got here, then only a little bit of time, I’d frequently notice the guy who lives across the way in back of us standing outside to smoke in even the coldest of weather.

Since it’s warmed up (all the snow is gone once more) I’ve discovered the reason for this. A little girl of maybe three or four has been coming out with him to play in the back yard. He doesn’t usually smoke when she’s there.

I get so angry when people smoke around their children that seeing someone who has the decency to brave the cold in order to avoid polluting the air his child breaths is rather heartening.

M came home from work yesterday and mentioned that he’d stopped to chat with the guy on his way in. He said that across the way neighbor guy commented “your wife sure spends a lot of time on the computer.”

Ooops.. I’m on teh second story and for some reason it slipped my mind that if I could see out, then someone could see in.

Now I’m just trying to recall if I’ve ever sat here at the computer without a shirt on… it’s quite probably that I have.

Oh dear. I might have been putting on a show without even realizing it.

what’s wrong with this picture?

Well, the main thing wrong with this picture is that it’s the view out my bedroom window and I just took it today. It’s nearly May! How can it snow now?

It’s actually leftover snow from yesterday’s snowfall. It’s just about gone now. Still, we had several warm weeks then bam, snow.

I don’t really mind. I do, after all, prefer the cold to the heat in general. However, snow in late April offends my sense of order.

quietly slipping back in…

I know I’ve been gone so long, and I never said that I was going. It just sort of happened.

The short version of everything that’s happened since I last wrote is that we moved to Edmonton so that Myles could take advantage of a really good job offer (unfortunately reqioromg for me to drop out of university for the ten-zillionth time), and I found out that I’m pregnant.

That’s right. We’re having a baby.

The long, rambling version of the above news is contained in this journal entry.

A separate entry contains all the more interesting baby news.
